Alex Ahr is an artist and content creator who focuses on philosophical theories, fictional narratives, and the inner images that activate individuals to personal potential. Their specific focus is on Motor Imagery, the distinctions between potential and action, and how embodiment and intersubjectivity create reality. Their current project, DEPTHS, seeks to combine a formal essay youtube channel with comedy/theory writing and performances on lesbianism and life- an attempt to go DEEP into the raw truths of being alive.

They received their MFA in Experimental Animation from California Institute of the Arts and a BS in Radio–Television–Film from the University of Texas at Austin. They currently live in London.
My Story
After having spent six years as an animation artist and teacher, I suffered a stroke which allowed me to use visualization as a fundamental tool for rehabilitation from paralysis. This intense boundary-altering experience changed my trajectory and I now take a much more theoretical interest in how fiction, art, and daydreams facilitate our lived experience. Instead of the classroom, I present my ideas on Youtube.
